Stepping Forward LA is an organization where they help teens that have aged out of the foster system. One way they do this is by throwing birthday parties for teens who have recently celebrated a birthday. Since many teens who have aged out don’t have a family, their birthdays aren’t celebrated. Stepping Forward LA is trying to remind them that they deserve that special day.
"Ready To Succeed is an innovative Career + Personal Development program that supports and empowers Los Angeles foster youth throughout college and beyond. Through career readiness training, mentorship and internship opportunities, RTS opens students’ eyes to the possibilities available to them and provides the resources, pathways and people they need to achieve them. A Sense of Home donations Link
For teens that have aged out of the system and are looking for a house to live in there is an organization called A Sense of Home that helps to give aged-out foster teens their first official home. A Sense of Home relies on physical (beds, couches, etc.) and monetary donations from the community. We hope people will learn about this and choose to donate or volunteer with them.
